Project Management (S2)

Objectives

Students work in groups to produce a study report using exploratory statistics methods and tools, based on a database provided to them. The project runs from October to May.

Students are supported by academic tutors to monitor the study process and the application of statistical methods, and by coaches to work on project management, teamwork and oral communication skills.

The project requires a high level of autonomous investment on the part of the students: the half-days during which tutoring or coaching sessions are scheduled are dedicated to carrying out the statistical project. A total of 11 unaccompanied half-days are scheduled. Approximately 60 hours of unscheduled personal work will be required to complete the project.

The main learning outcomes expected are:

-the statistical study approach

– relevant use of exploratory statistics tools

-product evaluation and oral and written communication

-project management and working in project mode

-human relations as part of teamwork: integrating and valorizing skills as part of teamwork
