Programs and Networks

ENSAI is a member of several local, national, and international programs and networks related to internationalization. Membership in these networks and programs contributes to many aspects of ENSAI’s internationalization: staying up to date on the latest international education trends and regulations, providing a common framework for partnerships, obtaining essential funding to support student and staff mobility projects, developing ENSAI’s international visibility, supporting the development of high-quality data science programs, and facilitating the recruitment of international students.

Campus France

Campus France is the official agency for the promotion of higher education, international student services, and international mobility under the tutelage of the French Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Higher Education, Research, and Innovation.

As a member of the Forum Campus France, ENSAI benefits from many services offered by Campus France, including training sessions, promotions, organization of study abroad fairs, and assistance with administrative procedures.

Campus France also provides a vast array of resources for international students who are thinking about studying in France and those who have been accepted to programs in France. Resources that may be of interest to incoming ENSAI students include, but are not limited to:

Campus France contributes to the quality of welcome services that French higher education institutions provide for their international students via the Bienvenue en France label. ENSAI has obtained the highest level of certification for this label with three stars, which attests to the importance that ENSAI attaches to ensuring that its international students are welcomed in the best possible way.

For more information about the Bienvenue en France label and its indicators, visit Campus France’s dedicated pages on their website.

EMOS (European Master of Official Statistics)

ENSAI is a member of EMOS (European Master of Official Statistics) network of higher education institutions offering a Master’s degree in the field of Official Statistics accredited by Eurostat. The network includes more than 30 programs in some 20 countries.

EMOS was set up to strengthen the collaboration between universities and producers of official statistics and to help train professionals to work with European official data at different levels in the rapidly evolving statistical production system.

EMOS aims to enable students to become familiar with the official statistics system, production models, statistical methods, and dissemination.

ENSAI has developed several partnerships with EMOS network members, including two double-degree agreements with the Università di Roma “La Sapienza” and the Università di Bologna “Alma Mater Studiorum”.

Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is a program led and financed by the European Union to support education, training, youth, and sport in Europe. With an annual budget of €14.7 billion, it provides a framework which facilitates international exchanges and funding for students, faculty, and staff to spend time abroad for studies, internships, teaching, and training.

ENSAI has received the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE), which entitles it to participate in the program and solicit funds for mobility projects. ENSAI has progressively developed a network of over 31 European university partners in 13 program countries thanks to the simplified framework of the Erasmus+ program.

Outgoing students in the Engineer Statistician and Civil Servant Official Statistics programs can spend a semester abroad as an exchange student during their second or third year of studies at ENSAI. Students from all programs at ENSAI are eligible to apply for Erasmus+ grants to support internships carried out in program countries. Staff, both administrative and teaching, are eligible for support to carry out professional training as well as teaching abroad.

ENSAI is committed to ensuring that academic exchanges, double degrees, and internships in Erasmus+ program countries (subject to program financing) are accessible to all of its students. All students eligible for grants may apply for Erasmus+ funding. Grants are attributed by the Office of International Relations according to a procedure defined and approved by the ENSAI Financial Aid Commission which respects all Erasmus+ program constraints and principles. The details of the criteria used at ENSAI to determine whether a student is eligible for and/or receives funding from the Erasmus+ program are available on the “Financial Aid for International Mobilities” Moodle page.

ENSAI’s Erasmus Policy Statement (in French) is available here.

RESA

ENSAI works very closely with the four graduate schools that make up the Network of African Statistics Schools (RESA) in Benin, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, and Senegal: ENEAM Cotonou, ISSEA Yaoundé, ENSEA Abidjan, and ENSAE Dakar. The CAPESA, located at ENSAI and led by an ENSAI research professor, is responsible for organizing all the competitive international exams that allow students from over 20 countries to compete for a spot in one of the prestigious RESA schools.

Beyond the work of the CAPESA, ENSAI has developed double degree agreements with the member schools as well as student exchange agreements allowing ENSAI students to have the opportunity to spend a semester at one of the RESA institutions for studies or internships.

Université de Rennes

ENSAI is firmly anchored within the higher education ecosystem in Rennes, working closely with other local higher education institutions and laboratories in teaching as well as research. Due to its close ties with these institutions, ENSAI has naturally decided to participate in the Université de Rennes consortium, as an affiliated graduate school. By doing so, ENSAI seeks to develop its international visibility and collaborate more actively with its local partners on various aspects of internationalization.
