Founded in 1499 in the current capital city of Spain, UCM welcomes approximately 74,000 learners, of which 7,164 are international students (among them 1,575 are Erasmus+ students).

The university proposes 322 different degree programs and 158 Master degrees. It is also very focused on developing international partnerships with 900 cooperation agreements in 77 different countries as well as 16 international degree tracks.

The 3 main objectives of UCM are to educate professionals who will make a positive impact in society, promote scientific research, and share knowledge.
