ENSAI Abroad

ENSAI encourages all of its students to undertake one or several international experiences during their studies. For students enrolled in the Engineer Statistician program, international mobility is not just encouraged, it’s a requirement. Even for those not required to go abroad – civil servant students, international students, Master students – ENSAI encourages everyone to take full advantage of international mobility opportunities.

Studying or carrying out an internship abroad enables students to discover new cultures, improve their language skills, apply new learning and/or professional methods, and develop essential soft skills like autonomy and how to deal with new situations outside one’s comfort zone!

When developing their personal mobility project, ENSAI students are encouraged to ask themselves the right questions and discover the various possibilities for going abroad by exploring the dedicated Moodle pages (reserved to ENSAI students) outlining the different international mobility opportunities at ENSAI!

Study Abroad

More than 40 study abroad destinations are currently available to ENSAI students thanks to partnerships between ENSAI and international universities. There are several possibilities:

Students can carry out an exchange (via the Erasmus+ program or an inter-institutional agreement), where they will study for 1 semester with one of our partners.

It is also possible to pursue a double degree with a partner university, which allows students to obtain degrees from both ENSAI diploma and the partner institution.

Engineering students can also create their own Double Degree path, which gives them access to an even wider variety of destinations.

Nearly 10,000 km separate ENSAI from the University of Hong Kong. This is a definite advantage in the eyes of Tom Catoire, a second-year engineering student at ENSAI who was looking for a study abroad destination that combines cultural immersion and an academic challenge.

Internships Abroad

An international internship is a great way to apply academic know-how while being exposed to a new professional environment. It is also an opportunity to discover a new culture and for personal development. At ENSAI, the possibilities are vast: every internship can be carried out internationally, and there are very few restrictions on destinations. However, planning for international internships requires a great deal of forethought, so students must carefully organize their search to ensure success!

For further information, the Moodle page “Internships Abroad” is available to ENSAI students.

Research Abroad

Whether through research internships, committing to an international doctorate in the final year of studies, or mobility during a PhD at ENSAI, students have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the research world in the fields of Computer Science, Economics, and Statistics.
For further information, the Moodle page “PhD Abroad”  is available to ENSAI students.

Financial Aid

The cost of going and living abroad is one of the main obstacles when planning for an international mobility period. ENSAI strives to accompany its students to make sure that this does not become an insurmountable barrier! To this end, ENSAI offers several types of grants, for academic exchanges, internships, and double degrees abroad. Grants are financed through the Erasmus+ program, internal budgets, and the ENSAE-ENSAI Foundation.

Most ENSAI students are eligible for one of these grants, even if they are not already receiving need-based financial aid (CROUS or GENES grants based on social criteria).  Learn about all the financial aid possibilities on the Moodle “Financial Aid” page.
