Double degree agreement signed with the University of Bologna

ENSAI, in conjunction with the Faculty of Economics at the University of Rennes, has signed a double degree agreement with the University of Bologna.

Founded in 1088, the University of Bologna today welcomes over 90,000 students in its 31 departments. It is a long-standing partner of ENSAI.

Studying Data Science at the University of Bologna

Students from ENSAI and the University of Rennes will have the opportunity to follow one of three tracks in the Master of Statistics: Data Science, Health & Population Analytics, & Official Statistics. This year of study in Italy will enable them to obtain a double degree from the University of Bologna as well as their degree from ENSAI.

Candidates are selected by a joint ENSAI and the Faculty of Economics at the University of Rennes selection process.

Students from the University of Bologna will come to ENSAI and enroll in the Master Data Science for Public Decision Making program, as part of the EMOS network, or the Master for Smart Data Science.

“I’m particularly proud of the fact that we’ve been able to further develop our relationship with this long-standing partner. The co-signature of the double degree agreement with the University of Rennes is also cause for enthusiasm at ENSAI, as it is the first new agreement signed within the context of the new partnership with the University of Rennes.”

High-level training

The University of Bologna courses available to ENSAI and University of Rennes students offer advanced training in Applied Mathematics and Statistics.

More specifically, the courses, taught entirely in English, enable students to acquire the skills essential to become a highly skilled data scientist: survival analysis, machine learning techniques, methods for analyzing massive data (big data), socio-economic statistics and public health.
