Objectives

Understand INSEE’s activities and areas of expertise.
Get to know the job families at INSEE and in official statistics.
Understand the issues and procedures involved in the mobility campaign.
Identify career motivations and build coherent career paths.

Course outline

The aim is to familiarize trainee attachés with jobs and activities in official statistics, to help them better define their short- and medium-term career plans, and to prepare them for the mobility campaign (CV, covering letter, choice of positions).
Sessions will be devoted to :

The 18 hours will be spread over 3 days organized as follows:
Day 1: Morning plenary session with a representative of the Insee General Secretary’s Mobility and Careers Division (DMC). Afternoon: individual interviews with the DMC and other speakers for those who wish,
Days 2 and 3: alternating between plenary sessions and workshops on the transfer campaign, Insee careers and CV and cover letter writing.
A Forum des métiers de la statistique publique is organized in January, as part of the transfer campaign.
