Introduction to Survival Analysis

Objectives

Specific aspects of statistical time modeling
be familiar with basic model laws and inference procedures
Understand the underlying assumptions of different approaches, particularly regression models
Fit appropriate models to data using specialized software

Course outline

Censoring and truncation mechanisms
Parametric (Weibull,…) and non-parametric (Kaplan-Meier,…) models and associated inference
Multi-sample survival comparisons
Regression models (Cox Proportional Hazards, Accelerated Failure Time, etc.)

Prerequisites

Probability, statistical inference, regression; R programming
