Objectives
This course is a practical complement to the first methodological module in U3 "Public Decision Support" (evaluation methods). The aim is to apply the various methods presented in the first module to real data, mainly: the difference-in-difference method, the instrumental variables method, regressions on discontinuities, etc,
The aim is to use real data to verify the conditions of application of each method and to test hypotheses.
Course outline
Generic impact evaluation terms will be reviewed: causal effect, control group, selection bias, conjunctural bias, average treatment effect, selection effect, ….
Applications are carried out with the free and open source programming software, R.
