Objectives
Generally speaking, at the end of an optional language course, the student will have: Objective 1: Progressed in the four language skills – written and oral expression and written and oral comprehension; Objective 2: Developed universal skills in areas such as communication, self-knowledge and openness to the world, to societal and civic life
Course outline
In Semester 2, students will continue to work on all language skills and learn to describe and analyze the specific cultural contexts of the people who speak the language being studied: German, Chinese, Spanish, Italian, or Japanese. The content varies according to the level and language of the courses: beginners will continue learning the fundamentals, and more advanced students will develop their communication language skills through thematic topics. The objective is for all students to continue to gain perspective on their own cultures by opening up to those studied in class to develop transversal skills (Soft Skills).
