Applied Macroeconometrics

Objectives

The aim of this course is to provide macroeconomists with additional theoretical econometrics knowledge and to put into practice, within the framework of macroeconomics, certain tools seen in the econometrics course.

Course outline

A number of topics will be covered from both a theoretical and an empirical point of view, focusing on the real economy. These themes enable us to understand the stylized facts characterizing modern economies (using different methods to highlight these facts) and to understand how best to model them.

Prerequisites

The first-year macroeconomics and second-year time series courses are assumed to have been assimilated.
