Yves Ngounou Bakam is currently a non-permanent lecturer at ENSAI, where he conducts research at the CREST laboratory, a CNRS mixed research unit. From 2018 to 2021, he prepared a Ph.D. thesis under the supervision of Denys Pommeret, Professor at Aix-Marseille University within the Marseille Institute of Mathematics (I2M, UMR 7373). His thesis, titled Estimation and Comparison of Copulas, was defended on December 5, 2022.
In parallel with his doctoral studies, Yves Ngounou Bakam earned the Actuary Diploma from the Institut de Science Financière et d'Assurances (I.S.F.A) in Lyon and the DESU PédaSup from the Center for Pedagogical Innovation (CIPE) at Aix-Marseille University, with a focus on university pedagogy. Since 2023, he has been qualified for the position of Associate Professor by the National Council of Universities (CNU), specializing in Section 26: Applied Mathematics and Applications of Mathematics.
From September 2022 to August 2023, he worked as a Lecturer and Researcher (ATER) at the University Institute of Technology of Paris - Rives de Seine | Paris Cité University, affiliated with the MAP5 Laboratory.
In addition to his academic roles, Yves Ngounou Bakam is involved in several professional activities:
* Reviewer for the peer-reviewed journal Computational Statistics and Data Analysis (CSDA).
* Member of the RAEF (Risques Assuranciels, Économiques et Financiers) group within the Société Française de Statistique (SFdS).
* Member of the Société Française de Statistique (SFdS).
* Maintainer of the R package Kcop.
