Cédric Herzet is an Associate Professor and Head of the Computer Science Department at ENSAI, Rennes, France. With a research focus on machine learning, signal processing, and optimization, he has contributed extensively to these fields, authoring 28 articles in top international journals and over 75 conference proceedings. His work explores topics such as variational inference, dimensionality reduction, and operational research. Previously, he was a researcher at Inria, and a Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellow at UC Berkeley. Dr. Herzet is actively engaged in teaching and oversees ENSAI’s specialization in “Data Sciences and Data Engineering.” He also serves on the steering committee of GdR Isis, a prominent scientific organization in signal processing and machine learning.
