This award is presented to heads of degree programs that have received the highest ratings from their students in the Eduniversal surveys.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ensai.fr\/en\/equipe\/portier-francois\/\">Fran\u00e7ois Portier<\/a>, a lecturer at ENSAI, a researcher at CREST and head of the <a href=\"https:\/\/ensai.fr\/en\/2-cursus\/msc-statistics-for-smart-data\/\">Master for Smart Data Science<\/a>, was ranked joint 9th amongst French Master\u2019s, MS and MBA programmes, based on the student satisfaction score for the 2025\u20132026 cohort of the Master\u2019s in Smart Data Science: 4.91 out of 5.<\/p>\n<p>Only 5.2 per cent of programme directors from the 2,350 programmes ranked in the &#8220;Best Masters, MS &amp; MBA&#8221; ranking and the &#8220;Best Licences, Bachelors &amp; Grandes \u00c9coles&#8221; ranking received this distinction. 2 per cent of these programme directors achieved a score high enough to <a href=\"https:\/\/trophees-de-la-pedagogie.eduniversal.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">receive a trophy on stage<\/a>, at the Pavillon Wagram, including Fran\u00e7ois Portier.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThis trophy is a tribute to the entire administrative and teaching team of the Master\u2019s in Smart Data Science. Our students\u2019 satisfaction is our best indicator, and this award reaffirms the validity of our approach. The discussions with the other winners during the evening were fruitful and have given us new insights into how to further improve the program, against a backdrop of rapid scientific and technical change.\u201d Fran\u00e7ois Portier<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>The teaching awards and the Eduniversal rankings<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meilleurs-masters.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eduniversal Ranking of the Best Masters, MS &amp; MBA programmes<\/a> has been in existence since 2002. Its methodology is based on three main criteria: the programme\u2019s reputation, salaries and career prospects upon graduation, and student satisfaction ratings.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2005, the <a href=\"https:\/\/trophees-de-la-pedagogie.eduniversal.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Troph\u00e9es de la P\u00e9dagogie<\/em> teaching awards<\/a> have recognised the best programme directors, based on this final criterion.<\/p>\n<p>The Master\u2019s in Smart Data Science has been ranked in the top 6 of the ranking of the best Master\u2019s and MBA programmes in Big Data &amp; Data Science since 2023. <a href=\"https:\/\/ensai.fr\/en\/ensai-4th-2026-eduniversal-ranking\/\">In 2026, it was ranked 4th<\/a>, with a student satisfaction score of 4.91\/5.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-18268\" src=\"https:\/\/ensai.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Trophees-Pedagogie-Eduniversal.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"421\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ensai.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Trophees-Pedagogie-Eduniversal.png 720w, https:\/\/ensai.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Trophees-Pedagogie-Eduniversal-300x175.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>ENSAI&#8217;s Master for Smart Data Science<\/h3>\n<p>The Master\u2019s program for Smart Data Science is taught in English. It combines advanced courses in Statistics, Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, including several subjects focused on AI. This one-year specialisation at Master\u2019s 2 level prepares students for careers as highly qualified data scientists across a wide range of professional fields.
